Meet Raquel Mendoza, Operations Assistant
What do you love most about your role at SOLID?
For Raquel, variety is the spice of life. “No two days are ever the same,” she shares. “One moment I’m coordinating schedules or supporting our field teams, and the next, I’m problem-solving on the fly to keep things moving. It definitely keeps me on my toes…and I love it!”
Beyond the excitement of her day-to-day tasks, Raquel is especially grateful for the support and camaraderie of her Los Angeles team. “They’ve helped me grow both professionally and personally. Their guidance and collaboration have made me a stronger, more confident team member.”
What’s one skill you’ve mastered that you’re most proud of?
Adaptability is a skill that Raquel has truly mastered. Working with a wide range of personalities—whether it’s technicians, managers, or clients—has taught her the importance of clear and adaptable communication.
“It’s helped me build stronger relationships, reduce misunderstandings, and keep things moving smoothly,” she explains. “I truly believe this skill has made me a better team player and problem-solver.”

What’s your best piece of advice for someone new to the industry?
Raquel’s advice for newcomers is simple but powerful:

Take notes: “Write everything down, even the small stuff—it will come in handy later.”

Ask questions: “Don’t be afraid to ask for clarification. Chances are, someone else is wondering the same thing.”

Seek support: “Never hesitate to ask for help. Everyone started somewhere, and I’m lucky to have a supportive team that continues to help me grow every day.”
How do you keep your team motivated and performing at their best?
For Raquel, keeping her team motivated starts with listening. “When people feel heard and supported, they perform better,” she explains. Her approach combines empathy and accountability—she listens to her team’s needs while ensuring they stay aligned with management expectations.
Raquel also believes in celebrating successes. “I always share positive feedback when a job goes well so they know their hard work doesn’t go unnoticed. And let’s be honest, a little chocolate in the break room never hurts either!”
